So my nontraining-plan-training-plan is to extend my Saturday runs by one mile each week from now until the race. That puts me at 13 miles the weekend before the race. Sounds good for now. We'll see how it goes.
This week I ran with Kelly in Rock Creek Park, and I think this will become our regular running spot. It's got just enough hills to challenge us, but then mostly flat paved throughout the park.
I feel pretty good, but I think I need to start putting a little more thought into what I eat before I run. I was really fatigued between 3.5 and 4.5. I had coffee, biscottti, and a yogurt this morning before I left, and it didn't seem to be doing much for me energywise.
Next weekend I'm going to shoot for a solid 6 miles. Yoga tomorrow, and I might go on the elliptical as well.
