I Can't Believe It...

2011 might actually be awesome.  Not going to lie, 2009 & 2010 sucked {read: a lot}.  For the first time in a few years I am really, truly excited.  This moment is the "cherry blossom" on the cake, and I am soaking it in.

Tomorrow I am starting a new training program.  I picked it because it gave me today off, which is nice... a chance to enjoy the moment and tackle some homework.  Tomorrow, my training officially begins.  I am a person that needs a solidified goal to work towards and before today this didn't seem real, didn't seem worth the added effort on top of my already 60 hour weeks, but today everything changed.

In 2011, I will board a plane for the first time in my life, I will visit the nation's capital, I will run 10 miles, I will get my NHA license, and I will graduate.  Today, the world is my playground.

I can't believe we're actually going to get to run in the Cherry Blossom 10-mile.

  1. Any good plan starts with taking the first day off, lol. Nice work.

I like that each year we declare the the current year has been a wash, a complete failure, and propose that the coming new year will be a complete success. (But there were two good things in 2009 and 2010. In 2009, you and Ben got married. And in 2010 Maggie and Nate got married.) But seriously, 2011 will be epic. Graduating will be huge. So proud of you for rocking the professional world for those 60 hours a week.

Let the training begin today then, I'll be running tonight too.
